Our story

Where it started
The starting point was Alio Kobalia’s Mingrelian–Georgian dictionary. Since then it has been reworked and expanded far beyond the original.

Built by the community
People and AI have added new words and expressions and Georgian and English lookup words.

Community moderation
Anyone can correct a word, record its pronunciation or report a mistake, right from the search results, without an account. It works like Mozilla Common Voice: others review what has been submitted and vote on whether it is right, and only checked changes reach the dictionary.
